Rishi has sent a good luck message to a North Yorkshire rugby team ahead of their cup final clash at Twickenham this weekend.
On Sunday, Wensleydale RUFC 1st XV take on Teddington in the Papa Johns Community Cup Final at the home of English rugby.
The Leyburn-based club have the chance of pulling off a remarkable double after winning promotion to Yorkshire Division 1 for the first time in their history.
Rishi recently visited the club’s Cawkill Park ground to congratulate the team on their league success.
He said: “This is arguably the biggest day in the club’s history and I wish them the best of luck at Twickenham on Sunday. Whatever the result, I know this will be a game they will all remember for the rest of their lives.
“Having met the team I know what tremendous spirit they have built up after a record-breaking season. Victory at rugby HQ would be the very best way to round it off.”
A place in the final was secured with a 35-21 victory over East Grinstead last Saturday, following a quarter-final win against Mansfield last month.
