Rishi Sunak opened a record-breaking Scruton Village Fete.
Despite variable weather, the annual event raised more than £6,000. - its biggest total ever.
The sum included match-funding from Barclays Bank.
This year's event had a traditional theme as part of the community marking the end of the First World War and it's status of a Thankful Village - one that did not suffer casualties among its residents who served.
Displays included vintage vehicles and volunteers from the Scruton Station Heritage Education Project.
Mr Sunak said he was delighted to be asked to attend the event again and to conduct the official opening. He added: "As ever it was a super event and very well organised."
