A Dales veterinary practice has expanded into new premises to meet the needs of all animal owners.
Bainbridge Vets has moved into the former railway station at Askrigg – a two-and-a-half acre site which will allow them to offer a comprehensive service to the owners of domestic pets and farm animals.
Vets Davinia Hinde and Michael Woodhouse now have a lambing shed and existing buildings have been converted to house cattle and horses. There are two consulting rooms, a grooming area, short-stay kennels and staff rooms.
The official opening of the new premises was performed by Richmond MP Rishi Sunak who praised the couple’s ambition in taking on the new site and expanding their service.
He said: “This is a most impressive operation and Davinia and Michael are doing a tremendous job to meet the needs of their growing client base.”
There will be a open day at the new premises on Saturday (September 17th) between 11am and 3pm with a fun dog show, tombola, cake stall and the chance to see all the facilities now on offer.
The main building occupied by the vets used to be Askrigg Station on the Wensleydale Railway line built in 1877.
