Rishi Sunak MP joined hundreds of people who took part in the first anniversary Catterick parkrun.
The event, which is held at 9am every Saturday morning at Catterick Racecourse, saw runners of all ages and abilities get involved in the celebratory event.
The Richmond MP was also joined by staff and students from Risedale School, Gurkha soldiers and parkrun regulars.
The race got off to a wet start but runners were in good spirits.
The anniversary was celebrated with cake and refreshments.
Mr Sunak said: “It’s really good to know that the Catterick parkrun is now well established and thriving alongside the run which takes place in Northallerton.
“Thanks to all the volunteer organisers and marshals whose weekly commitment makes the event possible.”
