Two Santa Runs organised by Herriot Hospice Homecare raised more than £2,500 for the charity.
The two events, held in Northallerton and, for the first time, in Wensleydale, saw more than 200 runners tackle the 5k courses in Santa suits.
The runners in Northallerton were joined by Richmond MP Rishi Sunak, who started the race, and also took part with his wife Akshata and five-year-old daughter Krishna.
Mr Sunak said: “The run was great fun and congratulations to all who took part to raise money for such a great cause.
“Krishna loved it – although she did need a lift on my shoulders for part of the way!”
The Sunaks were among the 80 runners took in the Northallerton event which followed the route of the weekly Northallerton parkrun (cor) around the playing fields by the Hambleton Leisure Centre. About 100 took part in a similar run held at Bolton Hall in Wensleydale.
The Northallerton parkrun director Tony Norris helped organise the event by providing marshalls and signing the route, along with staff and volunteers from the hospice and Hambleton District Council.
Tesco in Northallerton provided snacks and refreshments for both runs.
Tony Collins, the chief executive of Herriot Hospice Homecare, said: "The Santa Fun Run in Northallerton was a great success with even more runners than in previous years. It was a delight to see Rishi take part last year and once again this year, we are grateful for his continued participation and support for the charity."
Herriot Hospice Homecare provides services at home to patients in Hambleton and Richmondshire with life-limiting illnesses.
