Lots of canvassing this week. When this is done I am going to need a new pair of walking boots from local specialists Alt-Berg.
I am touched by how many volunteers are giving their time to support the campaign. We have people out delivering leaflets, putting up posters, knocking on doors, organising village hall meetings, manning the office. It is an incredible team effort and I am lucky to have the support.
Our family van has become the campaign battle bus! We did lose one of our magnetic signs on our first outing but otherwise it is working well. We gets lots of encouraging honks from passers by (no eggs yet!).
A village hall in Bellebry and the second Hustings of the campaign, this time in Leyburn at Wensleydale School. A fun night out, many thanks to Revd Lawton and his family for organising everything so efficiently.
Out campaigning with William Hague on Friday. We were in Leyburn, on the High St and in the Auction Mart, and in Northallerton. As ever, lots of fun to be out with William but a daunting reminder of the impossible act to follow!
